"Baili" Skiing Center is a small company, established in 1991. In the winter season we operate a downhill skiing center and in the summer we offer camping facilities.
During the summer we also rent out canoes and rafts and organize trips down the Gauja and Salaca rivers, for both local and foreign tourists.
The owner of the company is Valdis Vanags, for whom active recreation is a way of life. He is a veteran of over 20 serious expeditions throughout the territory of the former USSR. We also employ young people who are studying tourism management at the local college. This is a great opportunity for them to gain practical experience in serving the foreign tourists who use the facilities of our center in conjunction with their studies. We in turn benefit greatly, since these young people are highly motivated in organizing our active recreation activities.
