The Janis Rozentals Museum of History and Art is housed in a building designed by the famous Latvian master of painting Janis Rozentals. Built in 1900 as a house-studio, the artist lived here from 1900-1901. The Saldus History and Art Museum has been housed here since 1949Original paintings by Janis Rozentals are exhibited on both floors of the museum, as well as 559 items representing the art and life of Rozentals.
