The Russian Orthodox Church of St Sergi of Radonez was built in 1877 according to a project developed by the first academically educated Latvian architect Frīdrihs Baumanis (1836-1891). The church is built of splintered grey stones. Copes, quoins and benches are made of domestically produced red bricks. There is a Mengden family chapel, built in 1906, adjacent to the church. |
