Kurzeme Democentre is one of the first Latvian interactive science centres operating and open for visitors in Ventspils promenade (Ostas iela 23). The Democentre is opened every day from 10.00 to 20.00. The exhibition will be particularly interesting for children and youth, however also adults are carried away by the exhibition!

 

Along with existing most popular stands of Democentre – a mobile photo stand and the game of mind power, the new exhibition offers a fascinating and entertaining adventure and travel in the world of music. In it seemingly invisible and intangible sound gains a visual shape and we can feel how music affects our thinking and perception of the world. How does the eternal piano the keys of which never end sound? What are those unseen instruments!? And how funny piece can I compose?

Process of how people, especially children and youth, know and find out a lot of new things is changing all over the world. Also Kurzeme Democentre follows time and offers interactive solutions that include involvement of people examining the expositions, namely, they can push buttons, play drums, play air guitar and eternal piano, compose, make rhythm and do other things.

 

Children up to age 6 (preschool) – free.

Children aged 7-12 (grade 1-6) – LVL 1.50.

Youth aged 13 to 19 (grade 7-12), students, seniors and disabled visitors – LVL 2.00.

Adults – LVL 2.50.

Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) – LVL 6.50, 50 santimes of which can be paid using vents.

Teachers accompanying a group of pupils and guides accompanying a group of tourists – free.
