The former Landlord or manor house, which is Primary School now, was built in the end of the 18^th century, has burnt down twice, then reconstructed during the process of renovation and adjusted to needs of school. The bright silhouette of it on the bank of the lake attracts the attention of either outside visitors or dwellers of Balvi. The hall on the second floor can be the pride of the school because there is one of the best acoustics in that hall in Latvia. It has become a tradition for the Festival of Chamber Music to take place there and that fulfils the manor house with sounds of music in July.
