Valka Orthodox Church of Icon of Our Lady of Iberia

The construction of the church was completed in 2005 (the architect Lija Kukele). Prior to the construction works, the land on which the church is situated was consecrated by the Metropolitan of Riga. The construction works were planned to be finished in 9 years. The funds were collected due to the relentlessness of the parish. According to the parish, the church is protected by Iverska Mother of God the church has been built to honor the icon of the Mother of God, - which is thought to be the reason why the construction of the church has been very efficient. The church is open daily from 12.00
