Description
The Preili Museum of History and Applied Arts is located in the gatekeeper's house of Preili Manor that dates from the 18th-19th centuries. There are over 15 000 objects in the collection including various documents, photographs and valuable books and collections of archaeology and ceramics. Creations of the artists of the Preili area and Latgale region can also be found in the museum. The oldest articles in the textile collection date back to the second half of the 19th century. There is also a collection of ethnographic articles accessible to the public outdoors. Visitors can also take a tour around the romantic Preili park and visit P. Cernavskis' pottery. The museum was founded in 1985
