One of the most powerful springs in Latvia. It is discharging from a group of small ponds (up to 8x10 m) filled with white sand. Streams cause the sand to whirl. Temperature of the water here - 6,5 C, 10 - 20 litres per second are discharged. Stream with spring water flows towards the nearby Nediene stream. 100 m below there is sedimented lime and iron, stream is forming small, 0,6 m high waterfall.
