BALVI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH attracts not only by its age, which turned 200 in 1997, but also by its very peculiar architectural design.
Dean Šimanovskis, who started the building, left Balvi for a certain period of time, but after his returning back, he saw, that the church was finished bearing resemblance of a Russian Orthodox Church with only one middle cupola. Two front towers of the church were built later.
