Description
Lizums mainor is an architectural monument of local importance. The castle is built in the middle of the 19th century in English Gothic style. It is a rectangular, two-storey building with a semi-basement and a span roof of tiles. The castle is situated in the park, the size of which is five hectares. The park was adorned by four ponds. There were also several native as well as exotic species of trees and plants.
In 1937, the castle started to function as a primary school. Since 1957, it is a secondary school.
