Description
The Folk Museum "Naujene" reflects the national heritage of Naujene parish through the display of antiquities from the Dinaburga castle, churches, ancient graves, models of castle mounds and others. In the ethnographic section of the exhibition one can see a farmer's living room and craftsman's tools. There is also a natural history diorama "Underwater World", and an exhibition "The Curves of the River Daugava". In the open air ethnographic section in Slutiski village one can visit the potters workshop, have a ride with a horse and cart and learn about the special significance of the Russian stove in the everyday life on the farm. The museum was opened in 1996
