Description
The Latvian writer Anna Brigadere (1861-1933) moved into this forester's house in Tervete in 1922. This is where she wrote her trilogy, plays and poems during the last ten summers of her life. She named the house after ‘‘Spriditis’‘, her most popular fairy tale hero. The three rooms A. Brigadere lived in have been restored so that they look as they did during her lifetime. ‘‘Spridisi’‘, its orchard and forest is a part of Tervete National Park. The museum was founded in 1933
