Ventspils library

Ventspils library is the largest library in Ventspils and it is located at 2 Akmeņu Str. Ventspils City Library has departments of social and exact sciences, humanities, economics and law as well as departments of fiction, arts and music. The visitors of the library can also use the internet and CD-ROM data bases, rent CD's, audio and video records. Starting from 1998, the automatisation of the library processes has been continuing, including update of the supply of books, development of the electronic catalogue and the database of the local history and electronic registration of the visitors to provide the readers with up-to-date information services.
